You've Passed the CI&I!

Congratulations on passing the Classroom Introduction and Interview! A very small percentage of applicants make it this far. We hope you’re ready to continue!

The Paperwork Phase

As an incoming tutor, you will be classified as an Independent Contractor.? This means you will receive gross, untaxed earnings from us on a monthly basis. To set you up in our payroll system, and to ensure you get your 1099-NEC at the close of tax year, we’ll need you to fill out the IRS Form W-9.

You will be sent this form electronically via Panda Docs. Please review and submit it at your earliest conveniencePlease be sure to check your spam folder for this paperwork. If you do not receive an email from Panda Docs within 2 business days of passing the CI&I, please contact support through https://tiny.one/TDCSupport

Once we have your paperwork, we will send you a link to register for a background check, which is the last step of the application process. We look forward to working with you soon!

If you haven't yet done so, you can expedite the final Onboarding process by entering some additional information online.

Sign back in to the Applicant Dashboard as a Returning User.  You should be prompted to enter your Social Security Number (SSN) and any Direct Deposit information you wish to provide.

We require the SSN to check against our database of existing tutors, making sure there are no active or inactive users associated with the number.

Direct Deposit information is voluntary, but recommended.  Tutors who sign up for Direct Deposit are paid promptly on the sixth business day of the month.  You can add or edit this information at any time in the Tutor.com Classroom's Settings & Tools menu.

NOTE: New Direct Deposit enrollment can take 1-2 payroll cycles to take effect.  You should expect your first 1-2 payments to arrive as paper checks.
