Tutor.com To Go™ Releases the First Education App that Connects Students to an Expert Tutor
NEW YORK – April 7, 2011 - Tutor.com, the largest online tutoring and homework help service today announced a new version of Tutor.com To Go™, available now in the Apple App Store. The app is the only education app available that connects a student to an expert tutor for real-time help. Students can use the app on their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. The mobile app is free for all Tutor.com account-holders.
Tutor.com To Go empowers students to get the high quality help they have come to expect from Tutor.com on the devices they carry everywhere and use the most. Within the next five years, experts predict that nearly 100% of middle and high school students will be using mobile devices in the classroom as a key part of their education. Today, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, up to 41% of 12-17 year olds regularly connect to the Internet from their mobile phone, even when they have a computer at home.

On the iPad, the student and tutor can also use a real-time interactive whiteboard to collaborate on problems together.
Sessions are automatically saved and available for a student to review from their mobile device or computer. Sessions can also be shared with teachers and parents. When students want to work independently, they have 24/7 mobile access to Tutor.com’s library of thousands of online lessons, worksheets, videos and test-prep resources.
